The Florida Theatre Orchestra, formerly owned by Palm Beach Orchestras, Inc., has become a separate entity that is now co-owned by Joseph Roda and Mark Schubert. The company offers our orchestra for the support of operas, symphonic societies, pop styles, dance performances and musicals, while providing our clients with an alternative to music contractors that engage musicians as independent contractors. We work closely with the conductor and artistic staff to ensure the highest quality orchestra available while maintaining the highest standards in the industry.
Mark Schubert, former vice president of Palm Beach Orchestras, Inc. managed orchestral contracting, scheduling and client services. He also held the position of Miami City Ballet, Orchestra Manager and Orchestra Manager of the (original) South Florida Symphony.
Mark studied composition at the University of Iowa receiving a Bachelor's Degree in 1978. In South Florida since 1982, he has performed with every major group as Timpanist or as Percussionist. He was Timpanist for the Lake Placid Sinfonietta (17 years). and Percussionist with the Savannah Symphony (3 years). His principal teacher was Saul Goodman, with whom he studied privately in Palm Beach and New York. He is skilled in every style of music from Rock - Jazz - Broadway - Classical - Contemporary - his musical activities also include composing and arranging. He has performed as soloist with the American Composers Orchestra and the Lake Placid (NY) Sinfonietta.
His administrative work skills include employment as an IT Assistant for a national Insurance/Annuity Company, involving advanced programming experience, database design, spreadsheet design, brochure advertising, mass emailing, website design and maintenance.

He is former Director of Global Entertainment Group, Inc. and former Vice President of the Palm Beach County Youth Symphony Orchestra. Joseph has had music arrangements on the “Tonight Show”, “The Merv Griffin Show”, and original compositions on ABC’s Wide World of Sports. He is editor and co-writer of “Chordal Enrichment and Chord Substitution”, and “Four Part Harmony for Solo and Comping” with Sal Salvador, Published by Mel Bay Publications, Inc., Pacific, MO. He also produced galas with Disney, Universal Studios, CBS, Junior League International and many others.
Joseph was lead guitarist/vocalist for Mark Towers Orchestras in NYC, performing at the Plaza Hotel, Waldorf Astoria, Metropolitan Club and others.
